Through The Veil Paranormal Research Society....
We are a small paranormal society who operates as a non-profit organisation based in Norfolk in the United Kingdom.
We work closely with both private and public clients in a variety of locations from private residences and businesses through to public locations.
We conduct research into accounts of paranormal activity
attributed to alleged hauntings. Through our research and
investigations, using our scientific based methods, we look for repeatable evidence of the reported phenomena.
We endeavour to discern whether the reported phenomena is genuinely paranormal, or the result of a natural
phenomenon within the location which results in the
reported phenomena being misinterpreted as being paranormal.
Research Team....
Our dedicated research team consists of a full-time Lead Researcher supported by part-time volunteer researchers from diverse backgrounds, faiths, and genders. Some balance full-time professional commitments, while others are parents or grandparents caring for their families. All share a deep passion for our work, often sacrificing valuable time with loved ones to contribute to the study of spontaneous anomalous phenomena, frequently on short notice.
Darren Steere
Lead Researcher
Darren has dedicated over 27 years to researching alleged hauntings and the phenomena associated with them. Despite his extensive experience, he maintains that our understanding of the phenomenon remains limited.
He believes that advancing the field requires greater collaboration between individual researchers and teams, as well as the involvement of key scientific disciplines.
As Lead Researcher, he devotes much of his time to the society as its only full-time member.
He remains open-minded to the possibility of hauntings and related phenomena, though he acknowledges that, to date, he has not gathered sufficient documented evidence to confirm their existence.
Benjamin Foster

Ben has dedicated 6 years to researching alleged hauntings and the phenomena associated with them. With his six years he brings in a new perspectives that maybe the old gaurd would`t have thought about.
Ben is our part-time member but that dosent stop him from working behind the scenes creating social media graphics or new contet even aiding in cases where he can.
He like our lead has the same mind set and that is he remains open minded to the possibility of hauntings and the related phenomena.

Paranormal Research...
Paranormal research encompasses the study of phenomena that cannot be explained by current scientific principles. Our research is centred around alleged hauntings, the anomalous experiences associated with them.
Paranormal research is a pusedoscience as the established sciences in many cases do not accept the concept of paranormal phenomena.
Hauntings....
A haunting is a series of repetitive episodes of unexplained phenomena which is centred usually around a location, object, or in some cases around a specific individual which challenges our understanding of reality.
What actually causes a haunting is open to speculation, the common idea is a haunting is the result of a paranormal entity. Though another accepted idea that individuals can cause the phenomena themselves, in essence haunting themselves.
Hauntings can manifest in a variety of ways:
- Residual Hauntings.
- Intelligent Hauntings.
- Physical Disturbances.
Paranormal Phenomena....
Paranormal phenomena to experiences reported by individuals that are often perceived beyond the scope of normal human perception, and scientific explanation. The reported phenomena varies but some of the common phenomena includes:
- Apparitions.
- Disembodied Voices or Other Sounds.
- Strange Unexplained Sensations.
- Unexplained Light Phenomena.
- Objects Moving.
